Qiu Zhengding, Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor. He is a member of Electronic and Communication Institute, Commissioner of the ministerial key Laboratories of Railway Information Science and Engineering, also commissioner of Beijing’s key science and modern information network technology Laboratory. During ‘85’, ‘95’, he took charge of two national 863 projects and two scientific and technological projects of the railway ministry, national ‘95’ Scientific and technological project. In recent years he spearheaded and participated in one scientific project of the Railways Ministry, two NSFC projects and one ‘973’ project. He has got Science and Technology advancement second-class award by railway ministry twice, Military third-class award once, science second-class award by national education ministry once in 2007, National Invention Patent award four times and Practical New Pattern Patent award once. He has published academic papers over 150 articles, of which SCI and EI crawling more than 50, he has edited one book himself and three books with others. He has got government especial allowance in 1995, the Zhan Tianyou BJTU Science and Technological award in 1998, and the title of distinguished contribution specialist at the level of railway ministry and distinguished teacher of Beijing Metropolis.
