Zhenfeng Zhu, Ph.D. , Professor. He received M.E. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2001, Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Automation, CAS in 2005，respectively. Then, he joined the Institute of Information Science at Beijing Jiaotong University. As a visiting scholar, he has had one year's visit to Machine Learning Lab at Arizona State University. He is the members of CCF, ACM, and ACM SIGMM China Chapter. In recent years, he has severed as the principal investigator for ten plus projects such as NSFC, Beijing  NSF，and Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities（Key Program）. As one of major investigators，he joined several national projects like ‘863’, ‘973’, and now he is also one of core members of Innovative Research Team in University (PCSIRT) of M.O.E., China. He received the award for the Advances of Science and Technology in Natural Science issued by Ministry of Education (Second-class Prize) and the award for Advances of Science and Technology issued by Beijing Metropolis in 2008 and 2010. Since 2007, he was selected into the New-Star Program of Science and Technology supported by Beijing Metropolis, Hongguoyuan Talent Program of Beijing Jiaotong University, and New Century Excellent Talent (NCET) of M.O.E, China. His research interests include image and video understanding，machine learning, and information retrieval and recommendation. Up to now, he has published more than 60 research papers in some international journals including TMM, TKDE，IEEE Trans. on Cybernetics、Image and Vision Computing, Visual Communication and Image Representation, Pattern Recognition Letters, and so on, and some international conferenc.
