YANG Tangwen received the PhD degree from Southeast University in 2001. During his graduate study and beyond, he worked at the City University of Hong Kong as a research assistant and associate. Dr. YANG was previously postdoctoral fellow of Tsinghua University. He is currently Associate Professor in the school of computer and information technology, Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU). Before joined the  IIS of BJTU, he had worked in the University of Siegen, Germany and University College Dublin, Ireland, sponsored by the Germany AvH Foundation and the Embark  Initiative Fund of Ireland government, respectively. He was awarded the 2nd Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award(nominated by the Ministry of Education. He is a committee member of Intelligent Automation, CAA. His academic interests include medical robotics, smart sensors, and haptics, etc. He is being and was granted by the NSFC and "863" HiTech projects, etc. Dr. Yang has published more than 50 papers.
