Shikui Wei: Ph.D, Associate Professor, was born in 1979.In 2010, he received the Ph. D degree in the Institute of Information Science at Beijing Jiaotong University. During his Ph.D, he visited Media Lib at Nanyang Technological University and China-Singapore Institute of Digital Media in Singapore as a joint-PhD student from 2008 to 2010. From 2010 to 2011, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in School of Computer Engineering at Nanyang Technological University. His research interests include content-based multimedia retrieval, multimedia content analysis, pattern recognition, video copy detection. He has published more than 20 research papers in academic journals and conferences, such as IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, ICME. He has won excellent doctoral dissertation award of China Computer Federation (CCF) and has also be award “Excellent Government-funded Scholars and Students” for his excellent performance. He is the publicity chair of ICCSE conference and reviewer of many top-ranked journals and conferences such as IEEE Trans on KDE, IEEE Trans on CSVT, IEEE Trans on MM, IEEE Multimedia, Pattern Recognition Letter, ICCV, CVPR, ACMMM, ICIP. He also hosts or participates in several national research projects like ‘863’, ‘973’, NSFC.
